Margareta Stenbock von Rosen grew up on Ornö and since she was very young she had a dream of opening a hotel on the island. Now that dream finally has become reality!

A one-and-a-half-hour journey from Stockholm city you will find this oasis in Stockholm’s southern archipelago.

The hotel is newly built and is located directly at the waterfront in Brunnsviken on the southwest  side of Ornö, directly connected to Mysingen, the bay which Evert Taube sings about in his song song “Vals on Mysingen”.

Just a short boat trip from the hotel is the outer archipelago with all its small islands and islets, such as Huvudskär and Borgen. It is very common to see seals, sea eagles and lots of seabirds during these trips.

The hotel has grown under the careful supervision of Margareta herself. All in order for it to unite into nature and give harmony to both the eyes and minds of our visiting guests.

When you arrive at our hotel, it will feel like coming home to someone. This, in combination with the closeness to the stunning unspoiled nature, wildlife, tranquillity and silence makes it very special … a place to long for!
